Spanning Northeastern Wisconsin and the Western UP of Michigan, Range Art Association provides a vibrant platform for Gogebic Range Artists to gather, create, and exhibit their work. Since 1954, our association has been dedicated to promoting art and artists as an integral part of the Gogebic Range Cultural Heritage.
Participating in an art show is an excellent way to showcase your creativity and talent. At Range Art Association, we are eager to exhibit all forms of art, embracing the diversity that emerges from our community.
As a non-profit group, Range Art Association has been supporting local and regional artists across Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin for over 68 years.
Our flagship event, the Range Art Annual Art Show, held in August in Ironwood, Michigan, provides a platform for visual arts and various mediums. We have cultivated a rich tradition of encouraging artists to produce art locally and pursue their creative endeavors, spanning from fine art to fiber arts, sculpture, and other media.
The Annual Range Art Association Art Show, now entering its 68th year, is held annually in August, in conjunction with the Emberlight Festival. In 2023, the show will take place from August 18 to Aug 26th in the Historic Ironwood Memorial Building Auditorium.
Our show is open to all, including a dedicated section for students. Adults can enter 3-6 items with an entry fee, while students (18 years and below) can enter 3 items free of charge. Every participant's work will be showcased and appreciated.
Notably, alongside the local art, we also receive entries from former residents scattered across the country who still maintain ties to the area through their families. We welcome submissions from all around the United States. In fact, one of our members, residing in New York City, submitted a couple of pieces in our last show due to her strong family connection to the region.
In addition to the exhibition, there will be a wide array of artworks available for sale, including a raffle of several stunning original pieces generously donated by the artists. We invite the public to join us for a free reception on Saturday August 26th from Noon to 2 pm.
Save the dates and join us for an inspiring celebration of art at the Range Art Association Art Show 2023. See you soon.
